Smash Complacency By Submitting to Mentors
Many often have a hard time recognizing how valuable their unique talents are because they come easy to them. This can sometimes lead to treating their gifts casually.
The story is told of the great artist Michelangelo and his mentor, Bertoldo de Giovanni.
Michelangelo was only 14 years old when he came to Bertoldo, but it was already obvious that he was enormously gifted.
Bertoldo was wise enough to realize that gifted people are often tempted to coast rather than to grow, and therefore he kept trying to pressure his young prodigy to work seriously at his art.
One day he came into the studio to find Michelangelo toying with a piece of sculpture far beneath his abilities.
Bertoldo grabbed a hammer, smashed the work into tiny pieces, and shouted, “Michelangelo, talent is cheap; dedication is costly!”
An excellent way to develop your talents is to find and submit to a mentor who will push you beyond what you would normally push yourself.

Love it!! So much wasted talent out there…like trying to dig for pearls. Rick and I enjoy being in a business where someone finds their purpose… a reason to stretch, and use their talents to reach new heights, and discover new ways to change what they are tired of. We had people help us do this, and how amazing to see others re-discovering their dreams, and being able to come along side as they awaken visions, stuffed away, often a LONG time ago!! Thank you Max International for giving us a launch pad that assists us in lift off, and gives us the fuel to really change our lives and the lives of so many others!!
Very well said Michelle!!
